I studied Fine Art Sculpture at Cheltenham Art College graduating in 1988. My first full time sculpture job was as part of the team of Stucco modellers at Uppark House when the building was restored after being gutted by fire. From then worked as a modeller and carver on various sculptural and restoration projects, becoming a head carver and head sculptor and designer for assorted client companies eventually setting up my own plaster company Thompson Lewis Ltd. with Robert Lewis in 2010. During my early career I also started working occasionally as a film sculptor, my first film being 5th Element in 1995, over the years I worked on a variety of films and in 2014 Headed my first film sculpture department.
